νόμος
Torah
law → Torah
Why this word
nomos in the NT usually denotes the Torah (Matt 5:17; Rom 7:12) but sometimes a principle (Rom 7:21-23, 8:2) or civil law (Acts 18:15). The English "law" flattens all of these and lets readers hear "legalism." Render per occurrence; expect ~190 hits, the largest file.
